Sundos J. Schneider
I am a quiet introvert, observing life all around me. I have always enjoyed art and design, and how different elements fit together. I love ideas and concepts, and how they evolve and are expressed. And, I enjoy people and their stories. I am curious about everything. I like the way in a brief moment I can capture an instance of life in a photograph, preserve it, and continue to be reminded and inspired by it. Photography is not only my art form, but my way of documenting my life and the world. I photograph Places, Landscapes, Nature, People, and Events because it all fascinates me. I cannot think of a time when I did not want to photograph the world around me.
I grew up in Oak Park, IL, right next to Chicago. For over 20 years, St. Louis has been home. I’ve had the honor of photographing for The Missouri Botanical Garden, which is widely considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world. The Garden has used my images in a plethora of publicity materials and published my images in the book Garden of Glass Exhibit Guidebook. My work has been published in The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and other local publications, and The Columbus Dispatch (OH). My work has been exhibited in both St. Louis and Chicago. And, my work is in private collections.
