Sundos J. Schneider
I am the annoying kid who repeatedly asked “why?”… before the internet existed. Like many journalistic photographers, I have an insatiable curiosity. I love the way a moment can be captured in an image and a story revealed. A good image will continue to inspire. I cannot think of a time when I did not want to photograph the world around me.
I grew up in Oak Park, right next to Chicago, vibrant communities rich in art and culture. For over 20 years, St. Louis has been home. I’ve had the honor of photographing for The Missouri Botanical Garden. The Garden, considered a preeminent botanical garden, has used my images in a variety of digital and print publicity materials. The guidebook for the Garden of Glass Exhibit (an exhibit featuring 30 glass sculptures) includes twenty-one of my images.
My work has been on billboards and published in over 15 local print and digital media, including The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis Public Radio, and The Columbus-Dispatch in Ohio. It’s been exhibited in St. Louis and Chicago, and is in private art collections.
